Its height reaches a maximum of two meters, and all its parts are characterized by an unpleasant odor, and the process of extracting halitosis from trees begins immediately before the flowering period, and continues for 3 months since the first incision is made in the plant, this gum is extracted by cutting the stem of the plant to a point close to the ground. Its roots are exposed and cracked until the liquid leaks out from them, which dries up and turns into halite gum, and the process of creating new cracks is repeated whenever the liquid dries up. For many spice blends, in addition to being used as a flavoring in many Asian dishes such as meatballs, curries, and some types of pickles.
